James (Jim) Robert Murphy, age 86, died at Orchard Park Health Care in Centennial on January 10th, 2024.
He graduated from Hammond High School in Indiana earning a Hall of Fame scholarship. He graduated from Indiana University with a BA in Marketing which he used at Copperweld Steel to sell to auto and farming industries.
He married Emily Childs in 1989 who he is survived by along with his children, Madeline Cristal and Jon Murphy. Also stepchildren, Chuck and Gerry Childs along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jim was a humble lovable, optimistic, charitable, and spiritual human being with an infinite sense of humor. He was very active in church, school, and the community.
Funeral services will be held at Saint Mary Catholic Church in Littleton. Starting with a Rosary on February 15th at 6:30 pm and the Funeral Service on February 16th at 11:30 am with Reception following downstairs.
