James Larry Myers

James Larry Myers, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and proud U.S. Navy Veteran who served in Vietnam, passed away on August 23, 2025. He was predeceased by his father, James Rex Myers, and his mother, Katherine Bealor Myers. Jim leaves behind his loving wife Anna Marie Myers, his daughters Crystal Ann Lane and Sherry Jones, son Larry Gayers, brother-in-law Norman R. Chant Jr., and his cherished grandchildren, Olivia Jones and Christopher Jones. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, who all hold his memory dear. A gentle, hard-working man known for his kindness and generosity, Jim was deeply loved by everyone who had the honor of knowing him. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, often putting the needs of others before his own needs. His selflessness and warm spirit left a lasting impact on his family, friends, and community. While serving in the U.S. Navy, Jim was an Electronic Technician. When he returned home from the service, he worked for Bendix Allied Signal, traveling the world and setting up military antennas. Jim went on to a new career and earned a living as an ISA-certified Arborist, enjoying a fulfilling career before retiring. His dedication to his work reflected a deep respect for nature and a commitment to care. Jim's life was full of service to God and his country, as well as love and compassion for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service and interment of Jim's ashes will be held at 9 am on September 27, 2025, at Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 15600 N Tamiami Trail, Naples, FL, outside in the Memorial Gardens.
