James “Jimmy” Edward Napier

James Edward Napier, 82, of Lynchburg, VA passed away peacefully on Monday, April. 15, 2024, at Lynchburg General Hospital surrounded by family.
James Edward Napier (Muttman) was born July 12th, 1942, to the late Lucille Abbitt Napier and Charlie Napier. He was preceded in death by his three brothers David Napier, Lewis Napier, and Charlie Napier, Sisters Stella Davis, Ella Davis, and Fannie Morgan, and Brother-In-Law Carl Johnson, Grandson Christopher Lee Austin and Granddaughter Ayanna Sehenick Austin, and his Best Friend and right-hand man Marshall Davis.
James “Muttman” was a faithful and hardworking man, confessing his love for Christ at an early age. He was a faithful employee at Dinner Bell Meats Products Inc of Lynchburg, Virginia, for 30 years as a butcher, and was a farm worker.
He leaves behind to Cherish his Memory:
Two sons; Harvey Napier, of Appomattox, VA and James Austin of Harrisonburg, Va. Four daughters; Gail Austin and Angel Austin of Lynchburg, VA; Rita Martin, husband Timothy; Linda Napier all of Harrisonburg, VA; One sister; Carrie Johnson; One sister-in-law; Rosa Napier; both of Lynchburg, VA, Two brothers; Clarence Napier, Lynchburg, VA; Paul Napier, wife Nancy Napier of Charlotte County; and a Godson Marcus Hamlett. In addition, he leaves behind 26 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
