James “Keith” Nations of the Barkers Creek Community went home to be with his Lord & Savior on June 3rd, 2024. He was born in Sylva, North Carolina on December 22nd, 1966, to Fred and Judy Nations. He was a faithful and devoted member of Rockdale Baptist Church. Keith pursued his career in the logging industry and later established Nantahala Forest Products along with his eldest son, Cody.

Keith was a dedicated father who loved nothing more than spending time with his boys, especially bear hunting throughout the state of North Carolina, coaching them through sporting events, and spending time on the lake fishing. Keith always had a smile on his face, found enjoyment in making others laugh, and was a great friend to all he knew.

Keith was preceded to Heaven by his parents, Fred and Judy Nations. Keith is survived by his loving wife, June Berry Nations of 37 years, as well as his four sons Cody (Ashley), Tanner (Trenna), Dustin (Elsie Buchanan), and Hunter (Hannah King). Keith is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members whom he loved dearly.

Services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the Barkers Creek Cemetery, Whittier NC. Pastors Kevin Brooks, Eugene Ridley, and Cale Stancil will officiate the service.

Pallbearers: Tony Brown, Randy Bryson, Danny Buchanan, Chad Crowe, Steve Farley, Craig Gribble, Randy Hedden, and Kenny Queen.
