On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, James Lesley Nelson departed this life at the Heritage Home of Florence.
Born on Saturday, July 10, 1937, in Paxville, he was a son of the late Brooks and Pansy Harvin Nelson.
Services celebrating his life will take place on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 11:00am from the Chapel A.M.E. Church, 1257 McLeod Rd., Paxville, where the Rev. Roberta C. Montgomery will officiate. The service of committal will follow in the family plot located in the Nelson Cemetery 1201 Boyd Rd., Pinewood.
Public viewing will take place on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, 4:00pm - 6:00pm from the Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 West Boyce St., Manning.
The family is receiving relatives and friends from 3:00pm - 7:00pm at the residence, 1054 Spratt Dr., Paxville.
