Surviving is his son, James Robert Nelson, III of St. Mary's County, MD, his daughter, Robin Nelson of Lake Worth, FL, his brother, David Nelson and his wife, Kathy of Wilmington, NC, 5 grandchildren; Trinity Nelson, Kayden Nunnenkamp, Deklyn Nunnenkamp, Layla Nelson and Taylor Nelson.
Services will be private for the family.
