James "Jimmy" Notari, 41, of Moosic, passed away suddenly on Sunday afternoon at home from a heart attack.

Born in Scranton, he is the son of James and Paula Falcone Notari and was a member of Divine Mercy Parish in Moosic. He was a graduate of Scranton Prep and earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Marywood University. He was currently employed at Cigna as a claim's processor.

Jimmy was a very talented musician and played the piano, bass guitar and mandolin. He enjoyed all types of music past and present. He was also an avid sports fan of Penn State football and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed hockey, golf and baseball. He was an avid reader and enjoyed movies and television especially watching episodes of Seinfeld. He was a loving son, brother and grandson and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Also surviving are his brother, Thomas and wife Erin, Florida; maternal grandfather, Sam Falcone, Dunmore; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Theresa Ann Falcone, and paternal grandparents, Emil and Mary Notari.

The funeral will be Friday from Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St., Scranton, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment, St. Mary of Czestochowa Cemetery, Moosic. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
