James C. Nutting, Jr., 68, lifelong resident of Milford, NH died on January 1, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Goffstown, NH on February 16, 1954, a son of the late James C. Nutting, Sr., and Mary (Brown) Nutting. He was raised and educated in Milford and graduated from Milford High School Class of 1972.
Mr. Nutting had been employed as a lumber yard supervisor at Nashua Wood Products in Merrimack, NH for more than 20 years.
James was an avid fisherman and enjoyed candlepin bowling and racing stock cars but most especially, he loved spending time with his family. Everyone who he met quickly became his friend! James was kind to everyone in all situations and used his humor to make everyone else around him happy. James was an adoring husband father and Geepa, He showed up for every event and respectfully owns the Geepa face his grandchildren loved so much! James was a true light in everyone's life that will burn on forever in our hearts.
Mr. Nutting was predeceased by a brother, William Nutting.
Family members include his loving wife just shy of their 50-year wedding anniversary, Janet L. (Robinson) Nutting of Milford; two daughters and a son, His daughter and son in law Shannon & Chris Granger of NC, Samantha Nutting and Aaron Smith of Mont Vernon, NH; and his son and daughter-in-law, James C. Nutting III & Crystal (Pontonio) Nutting of Greenfield, NH; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and his sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl & Van McFarland of Hawaii.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7th at 11am in the Milford United Methodist Church, 327 North River Road, Milford. The family invites you to join them for food and refreshments following the service at the church. Burial will be in Meadowview Cemetery, Amherst, in the spring.
