ARDEN, N.C. - James E. Nutty, 91, of Arden, passed away peacefully Dec. 10, 2025, after a long illness with Parkinson's Disease. Jim was born in Peoria, Illinois, to the late Charles C. and Mae E. Muller Nutty (Blumenshine).
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Diane C. Nutty; three sons: Michael R. Nutty (Gay Lynne) of Kentucky, Jeffery K. Nutty of Illinois, and Craig A. Nutty of illinois; sister, Gloria D. Gerber (Kent) of Nevada; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. His sister Joyce Hamas and husband Gene preceded him in death.
Jim was the retired president of Hannan Supply Co. in Paducah. He and Diane enjoyed boating for many years, living on a houseboat on Kentucky Lake for 15 years. He was active in Faith Fellowship Church in Arden.
Donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
A Celebration of life will be planned in 2026.
