James C. "Ole" Olsen

James "Ole" C. Olsen, 64, of Escanaba, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at his home.
He was born on August 22, 1961 in Escanaba, son of Carlton R. and Anita D. (Ammel) Olsen. Jim graduated from Escanaba High School, class of 1979 and then went on to Michigan Tech University. Following college, Jim moved to Florida and resided there for several years before returning home in 2004.
Jim was a painter by trade. In 2004, he began working at Bosk Paint & Sandblast and then retired from Marinette Marine.
In 2006, Jim met the love of his life Patti Prim, they married on October 6, 2017. She passed away on August 7, 2025.
He loved riding his dirt bike, 4 x 4 off-roading, spending time his wife and friends, and adored his dog, Honey Bear.
Among survivors include Patti's daughters, Jill Shiner Vickers, Markka Farrington, and Tracy Vickers; grandchildren, Hadley and Evan Vickers; brother-in-law, Mike Prim; sister-in-law, Sue Prim; and several close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Patti.
Private services will be held at a later date.
