March 5, 1950 – September 4, 2025

Wayne Onofri was a faithful husband, loving father, brother, uncle, and grandfather who went peacefully home to be with the Lord on September 4, 2025, at the age of 75.

Born on March 5, 1950, in Syracuse, New York

Wayne was the loving husband of Judy for 51 years. Wayne and Judy both graduated from Brockport College in New York, married on March 23 and moved to Florida. As schoolteachers Wayne was hired at Desoto Middle School and Judy at Memorial Elementary school. Wayne served many years as teacher and assistant principal which he loved very much.

Wayne was a wonderful father to Curtis (Ann) Onofri and Kevin (Melanie) Onofri and was blessed with five grandchildren, Madilyn, Caleb, Gabriel, Zoey and Eliza Onofri.

God blessed Wayne with a gift for building and fixing things which he passed on to both his sons who are blessed to have their dad's skill and knowledge.

Wayne is survived by two sisters, Mary Krehling of Fair Haven, New York and Doretta Rockwell of West lawn, Pennsylvania.

Wayne is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Wayne.

Wayne was a family man and a people person. He loved to talk and tell stories. His favorite hobby was music, especially playing his guitar and encouraging his grandchildren in their love of music.

Wayne attended Father's House Fellowship church and enjoyed helping when the church was built in 2004 and with the church sound system.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the youth group at Wayne's Church in memory of him at www.fathershousefellowship.org/donations
