James Papillion passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at the age of 63.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow.
At the request of the family, viewing and visitation will be held the same day from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Quirk & Son.
James, was preceded in death by his loving parents, "Mommy" Pauline Papillion and Lezzie Papillion.
He is survived by his two daughters, Angel Landry (Dominic) and Ashlei Clarke (Gabriel); two grandchildren, Dwayne Landry and Chaslyn Landry; "lovingly raised as his own" Nerissa Gillum (Westley Jr.), with their children being SeEna Gillum and Westley Gillum, III and Spring Honey LeSure (Larry), with their children being Larens (Loky) LeSure, Sanai LeSure, and Christian LeSure.
He is also survived by four brothers, Michael Papillion, Joseph Papillion, David Papillion (Laura), and Paul Papillion (Lorraine); one sister, Elizabeth Reimonenq; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, and one great-great nephew;
his loving Uncle, John, and wife, Mary Lou; and his sweet Aunt Sayretha Jordan.
He will be deeply missed by his many cousins, their families, and his dear friends.
James was a kind and gentle soul, loved by all who knew him. His heart was full of love and compassion, and he will be deeply missed.
