In 1981, J.O. Passman called me on a Sunday night. He was looking for a music and youth director and George Raley told him to give me a call. I told him I was just about to begin my Senior year of college and needed to stay at UCA. When I hung up the phone, I knew I had made a mistake. I had told God I would walk through doors that He opened and I had just closed that one. So I called Bro. Passman back and asked if the job was still open. One of the blessings of our young lives was having the opportunity to be mentored in ministry and in life by J.O. and Elsie Passman. The thought of them being together again in the presence of Jesus makes me smile. Until we meet again, friend. mickey
