James Patterson Jr. Obituary
James "Rocky" Patterson Jr. age 71, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital South.
He was born in Bluefield, WV. on January 17, 1953. He spent time in Connecticut and Illinois before settling in Columbus, OH. He was employed for over 25 years in EVS at Riverside Hospital. He later retired from Columbus Detective Agency.
He loved Sci-fi movies and cartoons. He loved to play online games on his phone, most of all, he loved his family.
Preceded in death by his father, James Sr. mother Vernal Reon Harvey, sister Bonita "Bonnie" Patterson, brother Steve Patterson and grandson K.J. "Noodles" Johnson.
He is survived by his loving wife Pauline, sisters Carolyn Patterson, Shelia Williams, children: Shawnta Patterson, Selena Mattison, Aundrea English, Keisha Williams; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson, nieces, nephews, special friends Terry and Amelia Myer and Arthur Smart and a host of other friends and family.
A memorial gathering will take place on October 18, 2024 from 4-6pm at Newcomer NE Chapel 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd.
