Funeral services for James "Jimmy" Eugene Pecanty, 68 of West Monroe, LA will be held at Monterey Church of Christ on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 2PM with Bro. Jason Sparks officiating. Interment will follow at Eva Pentecostal Church Cemetery, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Jimmy was born on Thursday, January 20, 1955 in Jonesville, LA. and passed away Monday, July 03, 2023 in Monroe, LA. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in Koran during Vietnam War. Jimmy was a member of Monterey Church of Christ. He spent 35 years in the oilfield and retired as a consultant. His time at home Jimmy ran cattle and horses. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is reunited with his parents, James Noah Pecanty and Shirley Marshall Faulkner.
Those left to cherish Jimmy's memories are his wife, Sandy Mills Pecanty; sons, Brandon Pecanty of Monterey, LA and James "Jamie" Pecanty of Monterey, LA, and daughter, Tammy Faulkner; grandchildren, Cassie, Tiffany, Jordan, Kierstin, Michael, and Bryan Pecanty, Jolie Dyess; great- granddaughter Willow Pecanty and sister, Darlene Pecanty Davis.
Those honoring Jimmy as pallbearers are James William Poole, Clay Mott, Brad McClure, Opie Wiggington, Keith Ford, and Frank Vogt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Pecanty and Jordan Pecanty.
The family will receive friends at Monterey Church of Christ on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 5PM until service time at 2PM on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
