James (Bill) William Pennington of Indianapolis, IN, age 82, passed away from congestive heart failure on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 @ Hancock Regional Hospital. Bill was born on October 14, 1940 in Ashland, KY to James William Pennington, Sr & RuIby Mae Pennington. He was preceded in death by both parents James & Ruby Pennington, brother Harold (Gene) Pennington and sisters Joanne Boggs, Cathy Strelic, Marilyn Knipp & Ina Mathis. He is survived by 2 living siblings Margaret (Pidge) Knipp & Larry Penningtion, his beautiful wife of 60 years Deloris Pennington, 5 children Billy Young, Danny Young (Carol Young), James Pennington, Joey Pennington (Jessica Pennington) & Wendy Carlile (Rebecca Uberta). He was a beloved Papaw to 7 Grandchildren, Joel Young (Brianna Young), Erin Young, Christy Pennington, Jon (Scooter) Pennington, Jackie Pennington, Jimmy Pennington & Bryan Pennington and the greatest Great Papaw to 5 Great Grandchildren, Denae Pennington, Tyler Ward, Canaan Pennington, Collin Young & Amelia Young. He loved and was loved by many Neices & Nephews and his wifes brothers & sisters. Bill worked as a Boilermaker, Local #374 for 30 years and loved every minute of it. He was the hardest working man on this planet. He took great pride in taking care of his family and had uncanny ability to teach, guide & get along with people from all walks of life. He made everyone around him feel special. He loved his family, loved fishing and loved being outdoors any chance he could get. He was a jack of all trades. He was the greatest man on this earth. Bible verse: Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; Your rod and your staff they comfort me.
