Jon Lindsay Hale of Indianapolis, IN died March 11, 2026 at the age of 71.
He joins his parents Rhea Jean Hale and John Clark Hale Jr. in heaven. He is survived by his daughter Lindsay Renee Leonard (Chris), his son Jack Clark Hale (Reece), his granddaughter Aslyn Renee Hale as well as his loving life partner, Connie Lammars.
Jon majored in journalism at Indiana University and wrote for the Indianapolis Star where he wrote for the Herman Hoglebogle column. Jon was a published author that wrote the book “Indianapolis Nightlife”. He later worked in the mortgage underwriting industry, including owning and operating 1st Capital Mortgage in the early 2000’s in Indianapolis. He retired from Carrington Mortgage Services.
Jon was everyone’s friend and never knew a stranger. He was a jovial man and was always known to be a kind and witty light in any crowd. His love for the word of God followed him up until his passing. He will be missed by many.
A celebration of life will be planned and held by the family in the coming weeks.
