James Floyd Perkins

James "Floyd" Perkins 88 of Owingsville passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at his residence. He was born February 6, 1937, in West Liberty to Calvin and Beatrice Perkins. He was a retired Mechanic from Grassy Auto Parts and a member of the Gateway Church of God. He is survived by a daughter Celesta Welch (Allan), a granddaughter Tessia Henson (Nick), two sisters Margret Conley, Maurine Perkins, and a special sister-in-law Joyce McCloud. He was preceded in death by his parents Calvin and Beatrice Perkins, two wives Amy Perkins and Lois Perkins, six brothers Thomas Perkins, Paul Perkins, Robert Perkins, Arthur Perkins, Charlie Perkins, and Orville Perkins. Funeral services will be held 3PM Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Gateway Church of God in Mt. Sterling with Bro. Bush Stevenson officiating. Friends may visit Friday from 2PM till time of the service. Burial will follow in the Hammack Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City is in charge of services.
