James Edward Perrine

James Edward Perrine, 87, of Lebanon, IL, formerly of Marissa, IL, born July 18, 1938, in Herrin, IL, passed away on Sunday November 30, 2025, at Evercare of Lebanon Nursing Center in Lebanon, IL. He was a retired coal miner, a member of UMWA Local 1820 and was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Howard Perrine and Ruth Perrine, a daughter – Wendy Perrine who died at birth, two brothers – Bert Perrine and Billy Perrine, a sister and brother-in-Law – Pat (Marvin) Mohr, and sister-in-law – Jayne Perrine.

James is survived by 5 children – DeAnn (Harry) Doolittle of Belleville, IL, Jayme Jones of Marissa, IL, James G. (Lindsay) Perrine of Marissa, IL, Michael Perrine of Marissa, IL and Shelly (Billy) Neeve of Altamonte Springs, FL, 7 grandchildren – Logan Jones, Wendy, Megan and Ellie Doolittle and Andrew, Alexis and Lucas Perrine, and a brother – John Perrine of Neillsville, WI.

Memorials may be made to the Mascoutah Indpente (Special Olympics Team).

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
