James E. Phillips
December 28, 1941 - January 19, 2026
WILLIAMSTOWN, NY - James E. Phillips, 84 of Williamstown, NY; passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, NY. Jim was born on December 28, 1941 in Williamstown, NY; son of the late Elton and Nellie Allen Phillips. He was a member and board member of the Williamstown Union Church.
Jim worked for Camden Wire for 28 years and Omega Wire for 15 years. He retired from the Town of Williamstown Department of Transportation. Jim was a member of the Williamstown Volunteer Fire Department since 1962 and a member of the Fairview Cemetery Association for 25 years. Jim was a charter member of N.O.C.A. Jim was a member of the John Deere Club and the New York State Antique Tractor Association.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Jamie M. Phillips; his brother, Henry (Linda) Phillips and nephew, Steven Phillips.
Funeral Services will be celebrated at 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 2983 W. Main Street Parish, NY. Relatives and Friends are invited to a Calling Hour from 4 - 5 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service. Spring burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown, NY.
