James "Jim" Maurice Piles, 79, a resident of Boonville, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, at his home.

Jim was born on June 26, 1946, in Boonville, the son of James B. Piles and Naomi (Bechtel) Piles. On June 17, 1978, in West Palm Beach, Florida he married Sheri McIntyre, and she survives.

Jim lived in Boonville and moved with his family to West Palm Beach, Florida around the age of 12. Upon graduating from high school, Jim served his country proudly for 6 years as a United States Marine Reserve. He worked for Bellsouth for 37 years when he retired and moved back to Boonville.

Jim was a member of the Wallace Masonic Lodge 456 where he became Worshipful Master in 2020. The fellowship with the lodge was some of the best times in his life. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, his trucks and tractor. The thing that he loved the most was his family and he cherished all the time he was able to spend with them.

In addition to his wife of 47 years, Jim will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his daughter, Erin Dinkins and husband Harold; his son, James Gary Piles; four grandchildren, James Gary Piles II, Sarah Meehan and husband Matt, Jesse Piles and Emily Card; great grandchildren, Aubrey Meehan, Ava Meehan, and Maelyn Meehan; his brother Pat Piles and his wife Maureen; numerous nieces and nephews.

Masonic services will be held at Howard-Millard Funeral Home at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Howard-Millard Funeral Home, 1397 W. Ashley Rd., Boonville, MO 65233. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.howardfh.com
