Obituary of James Pourkaveh
In Loving Memory of James Pourkaveh
James Jamshid Pourkaveh, 71, of Mesa, Arizona passed into the loving arms of God on March 2, 2024 at Banner Gateway Medical Center Gilbert, Arizona, after a year-long battle with leukemia. He was born on February 9, 1953 in Izeh, Iran to Nabat Begin and Morad Pourkaveh. James moved to Bisbee, AZ from Iran in 1978, to attend school.
He furthered his education in Flagstaff, AZ and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree
Mechanical Engineering Technology in 1984. He obtained his US citizenship in 1985.
James is survived by his wife, Faith Pourkaveh, and children, Justin Pourkaveh, and Lauren Stockton. Additionally, he is survived by a son-in-law, 4 grandchildren, many brother and sister in-laws, numerous siblings, and nieces and nephews from both sides of the family. He was loved by all. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family had a Celebration of Life on March 9 for family and friends at Redemption
Gilbert Church, and shared memories from his life. They heard stories of his perseverance, determination, honorable intentions, and his servant-attitude. He will be so missed by many, but not defined by leukemia any longer.
Online condolences may be sent at www.falconerfuneralhome.com. Donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center or the Leukemia Society; who would appreciate your support.
