Carole Anne Dillon, the beloved heart of her family, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025 in Gilbert, Arizona at the age of 82, surrounded by her loving family. Carole was born in Portland, Maine on January 7, 1943 to parents Helen and Charles Wilton Waterman.
In 1983, Carole reunited with her childhood sweetheart and the love of her life, Michael Dillon. They were joyfully wed on August 8, 1990, beginning a beautiful life journey together that spanned over four decades. Though mere words cannot fully capture the depth of their devotion, anyone who met them could immediately feel the powerful love they shared.
Carole leaves behind her cherished husband Michael, her seven beloved children - Scott, Crystal, Alice, Melissa, Michelle, David and Lisa - as well as ten adored grandchildren and sixteen treasured great-grandchildren. She took immense pride in her family.
Prior to her retirement in 2000, Carole dedicated over 20 years of service to Wyle Electronics. Beyond her professional life, Carole delighted in the simple pleasures of family, friends, leisurely shopping excursions, playing Words with Friends, and tending to her beautiful home and garden. Her final days were filled with the love and comfort of having her husband, children and extended family nearby.
Per Carole's wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes charitable contributions in her honor to the Bichon Rescue Brigade, an organization dear to Carole's heart. https://bichonrescuebrigade.org
While we grieve her loss, Carole's radiant smile, quick wit, and kind spirit will forever remain imprinted upon all who knew her. She embraced life fully and left behind a legacy of love. Reunited in eternal peace with her cherished dog companion Sofee, Carole's memory will continue inspiring those fortunate enough to have loved her.
