My name is Cam McKinnon and both Deanne and my mother Sharon were in adjacent beds at the old Royal Darwin Hospital maternity wing (I was born on the 9th November). James and I went to school together in the 80's at Marrara Christian School in Darwin and were in the same classes. I have a lot of memories of James including riding in the back of my dad's ute (pick-up) collecting coconuts for the school fair (one of the games was throwing cricket balls at coconuts to win a prize), sleep-overs at his house (he had a horde of GI Joes, and was the only kid in town with a Commodore 64), racing BMX's, and listening to his crazy, zany stories. I lost touch with James when he moved to England, and only found this website as I periodically search online for him every now and again to see if I can find him. I am saddened to now find that he has passed, but am happy to hear that he lived a full, loving and loved life, including being a husband and father. I will see if I can find some pictures of him from my childhood if that is something that his family would appreciate. Condolences to you.
