James Oliver Reed

James Oliver Reed passed away peacefully on March 27, 2023. James was born in Krum, Texas, on January 18,1932. His parents were Claude Oliver Reed and Dona Langston Starr Reed. James met his wife when they were both students at Krum High School. They married on July 3, 1950. For most of his life he worked as an auto mechanic at JCPenny and Sears Auto Center. James was a faithful member of the Krum Church of Christ.
James was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Ray Reed, Travis Reed, Adren Reed and Feunice Reed; two sisters, Fay Marshall and Bonnie Cole; also grandson, Daniel Reed. He is survived by his wife Theopal (Bilyeu) Reed of Denton; son James T Reed and wife Linda of Aubrey; and daughter Sue Loser and husband Paul of Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit, Mexico; three grandsons, Andrew Moss and wife Erica of Hurst, Jonathan Moss and wife Lindsey of Arlington, Nathan Reed; step granddaughter Kelly Tomlinson of Aubrey; step grandson Michael Loser of West Melbourne, FL; and two great-granddaughters, Emilia and Julianna Moss.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 31 at 2 pm at the Krum Church of Christ.
