James C. Reynolds, 66 years old, of Essex passed away August 22, 2025 at his residence from a cardiac arrest. He was born on August 31, 1958 in St. Albans, VT, son of the late Bryant and Evelyn (Mott) Reynolds.

Jim graduated in 1977 from BFA in St. Albans and earned his associates degree in law enforcement from CCV. He worked on the family farm on Alburg Springs Rd., IBM, Cardinal Real Estate and retired in 2020 with 25 years from Homeland Security.

Jim and Ginette were married in June 2006 at Isle LaMotte, VT. He was a member of the Burlington Rifle and Pistol Club, loved playing his guitars, fishing, birds, gardening, tinkering and always inventing ways to get things done to make life easier.

He leaves his spouse, Ginette of 19 years and 2 stepsons, Sean and Ryan Merritt, his aunt Judy Letourneau, cousins: Fred, John, Chris, Charles & Marcy Letourneau, Tim and Eric Mott, Sarah, Julie, Mike, Bobby and Lisa Dobson and Sue Pappa. His father and mother-in-law, Jean-Claude and Celine Madore, brother and sisters-in-law: Robert, LeeAnne Madore and Joan Madore. He had many animals on the farm that he was close to, but Roxy, his beloved pug was his little girl! He was also very close to his cousins, Charlie and Sue.

Jim is predeceased by his parents and brother, Evelyn, Bryant and George Reynolds, aunts & uncles: Everett, Rodney, Lindy, Clara, June, Freddy Mott and Jane (Reynolds) Oman, his cousins: Eva Dobson, Kevin Mott and brother-in-law: Real Madore.

Per Jim's wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
