Our deepest sympathy to Beverly and the Rhatigan family concerning Jim's passing. He was a friend who always made you smile, understood your ideas and emotions, and accepted your attitudes and beliefs. His sense of honor, kindness, and ethics made a difference to WSU and its environs. Dr. Walter and Kaye Myers

I met Jim on the golf course. He appreciated a good game and marveled at those who could play well. He is the epitome of the expression, "One of a kind."

He was a true mensch, and the best thing to happen to WSU, ever. The only administrator in my memory to have been loved by the entire student body - and who loved us back.
