LIMA -- James Adrian Ribley "Jim", 77, of Lima, OH, passed away on July 21, 2023 at St. Ritas Medical Center after a short illness.
Born on March 27, 1946, Jim served in the US Navy for 2 years on the S.S. Wilkinson. After his military service, Jim embarked on a distinguished 30-year career with the US Postal Service, where he held various positions including mail carrier, supervisor, and postmaster in Elida. He retired in 2001.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Chris) Fry of Perrysburg, OH and Amy (Mike) Janos of Parma, OH, and his cherished grandchildren, Hayden and Carter Fry, and Owen Janos. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian E. and Mary E. Ufheil Ribley, and his sister, Judith Ribley Matrazzo.
Jim attended Lima Central Catholic High School, graduating in 1964. He was a proud alumnus and remained connected to his alma mater for many years. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Lima Central Catholic High School Scholarship Fund in his memory.
Jim was a devoted father and grandfather, finding joy in spending time with his family. In his retirement, he found pleasure in riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Harley Owners Group and the Ottawa HOG Chapter.
No services or visitation are planned at this time, honoring Jim's wishes.

I received my introductory tour as an employee of the Lima Post Office from Mr Ribley.... I was proud to call Jim my coworker and friend when he retired.. solid, solid guy.

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Jim for many many years. He was my boss at the Elida PO. He was the best "boss". We really all had a good relationship with him. As long as we did our job he would let us be. Again, I am sorry for your loss. GLENN SCHEUFLER
