James Daniel Ricewick, Jr., 70, of Cumberland, MD passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 24, 2025 at his home.
He was born November 21, 1954 in Cumberland to the late James D. and Josephine A. (Lechliter) Ricewick Sr.. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Yvette Ricewick-Benson, Dana Brakeall; a brother, Nathan Ricewick; and his special dog, Yakka.
Danny graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1972. He enjoyed jobs he had with McDonald's Ambulance Service and Town and Country Store. His career was with the local railroad, starting out traveling with the track gang, later he was hired as a laborer in the back shop where he made lifelong friends and enjoyed his work until his retirement.
Danny took a lot of pride and effort into being a part of the Potomac Lodge No. 100 AF&AM. He loved raising and training his three German Shepherds. He was an avid riflemen, loved his time at the range shooting targets. Danny loved his time with his family.
He is survived by his is wife of 45 years, Patricia "Patty" Ann Ricewick; sons, James D. Ricewick III and wife Megan, Jeremy Ricewick and significant other Megan; two special nieces Jody Miller and Brook Dignan, her husband Matt; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held.

To Jim Family , I am truly sorry to hear of his passing , I was a McDonald Ambulance employee and worked many of Calls with Jim , He had a Heart of Gold wanting to help people , and The Love he had for his Family ,
