James A. Richardson, 45, of Indianapolis passed away September 25, 2025 at his home. He was born in Indianapolis on June 18, 1980. Survivors include his mother Joyce Vanosdol of Versailles; his sister Leigh Ann Steele-Anderson (Verley) of Mooresville; two brothers Robert (Denise) Steele of Columbus, Ohio and Jett Richardson of Indianapolis; his uncle Jerry (Gleda) Brooks of Cross Plains; his aunt Janice Vanosdol of Rushville, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and several friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Roscoe and Virginia Vanosdol. James was a 1998 graduate of Indianapolis Arlington High School and had been employed with environmental services at the IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis as well as St. Vincents Hospital and the former Wishard Hospital, both in Indianapolis. James enjoyed gospel, jazz, and old school music and was a member of the Hope of Glory Church. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Benham Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
