James A. Ricksecker, 85, of Massillon and formerly of Mt. Eaton, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Amherst Meadows in Massillon.

Born in Massillon on March 14, 1940 to the late Leo and Lena (Monarch) Ricksecker. He attended Waynedale High School and went on to The Wayne School of Continuing Education and completed Machinist Trade.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Karen (Farver) Ricksecker; his grandmother Amelia Smith; son-in-law, Tim Daniels; sister-in-law, Tess Farver, in-laws, Corrine and Logan Farver; and brother-in-law, Jake Miller.

Survived by daughters to his first marriage, Brenda Ricksecker, Debra Daniels and Kelly (Mike) Jones; a son with Karen, Ryan Ricksecker; a brother, Robert (Carol) Ricksecker; 7 grandchildren and 2 step­grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 great step-grnndc:hildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; sister-in-law, Von Miller; brothers-in-law, Chuck Farver, Dave (Kathy) Farver and Doug (Nancy) Farver.

Jim was employed for 37 years at Eaton Corporation Engineered Fasteners Division as a machinist and a proud Union Member of Allied Industrial Workers of America Local 306, was a member of Faith Family Church of North Canton, the Bewster Moose and Navarre Towpath YMCA. Following retirement in 2000, he worked for Super Wash Car Wash and was a volunteer for Harbor Light Hospice. He was a member of the Paint Twp. Mt. Eaton Fire Dept. for 25 years and served as their Fire Chief for 10 years retiring on January 1, 1989. He and his wife supported Waynedale Sports and most likely were at their games, were fans of Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball. As a teenager he spent many summers in Franklin, PA among his many uncles, aunts and cousins. His times in Franklin were some of the best, he always loved to go back there, that was when he became a fan of the Pirates, along with his dad they were at Forbes Field in 1960 and saw Bill Mazeroski hit the home run in game 7 to win the World Series.

Following his wishes cremation has taken place a family graveside service will be held at West Lawn Cemetery in Mount Eaton.
