James "Jim" Bruce Ringhand, 75, of Bemidji, MN died Monday, December 2, 2024 at Sanford Fargo Medical Center.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 7, 2024 at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church n Bemidji, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji assisted the family.
Jim was born at Red Lake, MN May 28, 1949. Jim's grandparents, Cecil (Keene) and Percy Wayne raised Jim since he was a baby in Bemidji, MN. He attended Lincoln Elementary and Bemidji High School. Jim worked for Clearbrook Pipeline and Potlatch Corporation from 1981 to 2006. Jim also worked at Auto Value, Bemidji, from 2006 to 2021 when he retired. Jim liked car engines and raced at Bemidji Speedway in the 1970's and 80's. Jim also had pickup trucks and motorcycles. Most Memorial Day weekends Jim and friends went to the Indy 500 Races and was a NASCAR Race fan. He traveled to several NASCAR Races. Jim had a good sense of humor. Jim Ringhand met the love of his life, Donna Weir Ringhand, in 1994 and they married in Honolulu, Hawaii December 30, 1998.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Claira Jourdain Martin and father, James William Ringhand, and his grandparents, Cecil and Percy Wayne.
Jim is survived by his wife, Donna Bea Weir Ringhand of Bemidji, MN, brother, Curtis Ringhand of Ponemah, MN and sisters Mary Ringhand (David White) and Cleo Ringhand (Leonard Butcher) all of Ponemah, MN, niece, Waabanang Butcher and nephew, Leonard Butcher Jr. of Pine Point, MN, and nephew Giiwedin (Mariah) Butcher of Bemidji, MN. Jim was good, life-long friends of (deceased) Roy and Helen Thompson's sons, Mike and Mark Thompson of Bemidji, MN.
