James (Jim) Roberts, 64, of Independence, MO (formerly of Sayre, PA) was called home on December 24th after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Jim was a very successful small business owner, who took great pride in customer satisfaction. Jim was a friend to all.
Jim looked forward to and enjoyed going camping with family, with a fishing pole in hand, and walking his best friend, Onix.
Jim was preceded in death by his father: Ray Roberts of Sayre, PA; his mother: Carol Northrup Grainer formerly of Sayre, PA; and recently his brother: Ray Roberts of Pinetta, Florida.
Jim is survived by his sister: Patricia (Rick) Cook, of Kansas City, MO; sister: Kathy (Chuck) Silver, of Independence, MO; brother: Bernard (Jamie) Links, of Independence, MO; sister-in-law: Charlene Roberts of Pinetta, Florida; and his best friend Onix; as well as nieces, nephews, and other family members and his cherished friends.
A funeral mass will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter, located at: 1356 MO-9, Parkville, MO 64152.
