James Allen Robinson, Jr., 58, passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Brookline, Massachusetts, Jim spent his early years in New England before moving to Georgia, where he made his home in McDonough for 28 years and built a life devoted to service, family, and community. Jim dedicated his career to helping others. He first served as a paramedic in Massachusetts before becoming a firefighter/paramedic in Atlanta, Clayton County, and Henry County. He later continued his work with the City of McDonough, ultimately serving with distinction as a Division Captain. Known for his steady commitment, compassion, strong work ethic, and unmistakable sense of humor, Jim made a lasting impact on countless lives throughout his years in public service. Jim was predeceased by his father, Jim Robinson, Sr., and his mother, Grace Harrington (Robinson) Hayden.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Andi Robinson, and his three stepsons, and their families: Matt and Haley Littlefield and their sons, Billy and Henry; Adam and Courtney Littlefield and their daughters, Addison and Aubrey; and Tom Littlefield and his wife, Keturah Stone, and daughter Sophia, whom he loved and supported as his own. Jim also leaves behind his stepfather Richard Hayden; his brother Keith Robinson and nephew Alex Robinson; his sister-in-law Kathryn and husband Kevin Lamb and their family; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. He will be sorely missed by his dog Ohana, and to a lesser degree by his dog, Maggie.

After retiring, Jim moved to Pawleys Island, South Carolina, where he looked forward to spending his days golfing, enjoying the beach, and embracing an active and social coastal life. Though his retirement was tragically cut short, he cherished the time he spent there and the moments of peace and joy it brought.

A funeral service and interment will be held at All Saints Church, 3560 Kings River Road, Pawleys Island, South Carolina, on Friday, December 5th, at 3:00 p.m.

In honoring Jim's memory, the family encourages donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network).org, supporting continued research and advocacy in the fight against the disease.

Jim will be remembered for his loyalty, kindness, courage, quick wit, and the many lives he touched through both his career and his relationships. His presence will be deeply missed.
