James Caylyn Rodriguez of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 1, 2024. He was 36 years old. James Caylyn Rodriguez was born on November 11, 1987, in Saginaw, Michigan, to James Andre Williams and Bonnie Kay Rodriguez. His father, James, passed away when he was four years old and was ultimately raised by his loving mother and grandfather, Jaime Rodriguez. He was a proud 2005 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. As a young boy, James excelled with art and drawing, which later led to a career as a gifted and talented tattoo artist. As his reputation grew, and he became a renowned artist in Saginaw, he eventually owned and operated his own tattoo shop, 1111 Body Art Studio. James also learned how to barber, cut, and style hair. The role of his lifetime, one he treasured and cherished above all others, was to be the most loving and devoted father, son, and brother. James enjoyed and cheered for all sports, but basketball was his absolute favorite, especially Michigan State University. He also enjoyed spending time swimming, as well as fishing at the Zilwaukee River Front Park. James’ little piece of heaven was listening to music, specifically country music, because it truly resonated with his soul. It didn’t matter where he was, James was always singing and spreading positivity to everyone he encountered. The bonds he formed with the people he loved meant everything to him, including the friends and buddies he made since elementary school. James will forever be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and ability to make everyone laugh, his ability to inspire and selflessly help those he loved, for the love he had for his family, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many wonderful memories and stories.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Bonnie and Jesus De La Cruz of Saginaw; two sisters: Salena Rodriguez of Saginaw; Symone Rodriguez of Saginaw; four children: Graclynn Rodriguez and Kingsten Millege, children of James and Dariana Millege of Saginaw; Knight and Sapphire Rodriguez, children of James and Athena Jimenez of Saginaw; his two favorite nieces: Kiyla and Kamari Rodriguez all of Saginaw. Also surviving are countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Andre Williams; grandparents, Jaime and Bonnie Rodriguez and Hester Williams.
