James Roessler, 86, beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on August 24, 2022. He entered this world on November 12, 1935 in Batavia, OH, born to Elmer and (Gertrude) Lillian Roessler.
He is survived by his spouse Barbara Roessler; daughter Maria Bloom (Andrew), daughter Lisa Rhoden, (David); brother Bob Roessler (Nikki); sister Pat Henke (Jim); granddaughter Melissa Stanley; grandson Derek Calkins (Wendy); granddaughter Micah Strateger (Joseph); and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his son James Roessler, sisters Ellen Adkins (Bill) and Marian Leidecker (Arthur).
James proudly served in the Air Force from 1954 - 1975 where he worked in many fields including Missiles and Communications. Following retirement from the Air Force, he worked as a Food Service Manager for Morrison's Food Service in Valdosta, Georgia. He was a devoted husband and father and an avid golfer. He loved traveling and was always up for an adventure. He was a quiet man with a quirky sense of humor. He will be dearly missed.
Friend and family may visit from 11:30AM until 12:30PM funeral service at Moore Family Funeral Homes - 225 Spring Street Batavia, OH 45103. Interment with military honors will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery.
