Kathy,
I think of Jim often. Recently, I was stumbling through my personal cell voicemails and I realized I still had Jim's voicemail to me asking if we could meet up with you and Jim in Tampa for the Clemson/Alabama game in January 2017. Hearing Jim's voice on that old voicemail made me smile.
Jim had a wonderful life. Jim always held attention to the groups he addressed. Whether he was trying to calm a hostile crowd, or telling a new group his "Bingo" story!
Jim meant so much to his colleagues. I used to tell Jim that I wanted to be like him when I grew up. I've got a ways to go to be like Jim, but I will keep trying!
God Bless!

I am very sad to learn of James' recent passing. We were friends at Berkeley High School in Moncks Corner many years ago. I was a year ahead of him in high school. I would see him from time to time over the years after we graduated and always enjoyed catching up with him and hearing about his family. I remember James as being smart and very proud of the work he was doing in promoting Berkeley County. He definitely provided great leadership during his career. Berkeley County is fortunate to have had James working for its economic success.
My sincere sympathies to his family.

Kathy, I can't tell you how much I respected and admired Jim. He was such a good friend. He was one of the best communicators I've ever met. He could bring an angry crowd together in seconds with his wit and charm.
He also really loved his Tigers! I was lucky enough to spend some time with you and Jim in Tampa when we beat Alabama for the National Title. I will never forget all the photos and texts we were sending to you and Jim during the game with Alabama last month.
Most of all, I want you to know how much my friendship with Jim meant to me. I will miss him terribly, but I am so grateful to have met him. His impact on Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester County will be felt for a long, long time!
God Bless!
Ron

The Charleston region has lost an iconic advocate for growing the industrial base of the region. I had the pleasure of serving with Jim while he was involved in the initial stages of the Charleston Regional Development Alliance. Nobody was better at building consensus and selling the positive aspects of the region than Jim. My deepest sympathy to the family in your time of bereavement.
Sincerely,
John

Kathy and family,
We were saddened to hear of Jim's passing. You all have been a blessing to our family and to many others for decades. Jim was bigger than life and left his positive mark in innumerable places. He was an icon and an incredible representative of "All things good" in many ways, from the Strawberry Community, to all of Berkeley County and the Tri-county area, to state levels and beyond. He was a fantastic example of our country's "Greatest Generation", always thinking and acting with concern for not only his family and society's immediate needs but also for the future and those to come. I am sure that he is in Heaven now with our deceased ancestors, and we will join them there when our time comes.
We pray that God will continue to bless your family in this time of earthly loss and a celebration of Jim's life.
Love,

Fran and I will certainly miss Jim at the Clemson games. He and Kathy sat with us for over 40 years. He was a barrel of fun with my kids. he always had his yellow penalty flag he would wave when the refs missed a call. He and Kathy were always a joy to be around and he will be missed by my family very much. God bless you Kathy and you and your family are in our prayers...

I first met Jim years ago when he was running for Berkeley County Supervisor. It was my pleasure to hit the road and help with gathering votes for him and I must say it was well worth the hard work because he was one of the best, if not the best, Supervisor our county has ever had, My prayers are with all of his family and friends. He was a great guy and he will be missed by many.

Jim, Kathy Rozier, and their kids (Will, Samantha and Diane) welcomed me to their life in 1988 as an exchange student and hosted me at their home for 6 months. This experience would transform a then 18 year old boy in many great ways for the rest of my life, creating a friendship and a bond between our families that are ever lasting. In him and his family I saw solid examples of joy, kindness, fairness, family dedication, friendship and community work that I still try to follow. Jim will be missed dearly, but his legacy and the Clemsom Tiger Paws that he once gave me will always be treasured by my family. Our friendship with the Roziers will continue for many generations to come and so will our love to the land he called home and worked so much for it: his lovely Berkely County.
I appologize for not being able to be there in this moment, but Kathy, Samantha, Will, Diane and Bob please do feel hugged and supported by our prayers. We love you all. RIP, Jim, our dear friend!

I regret I cannot come in person to offer my condolences, but I am ill. Kathy, I cannot forget our time together when will was in my class, you were such a support when Tru died the summer after 5th grade. Will, you were such a sweet 5th grader. Jim was a very good man and did great work for our county. So, I offer you my condolences and ask God to provide comfort and healing as you go through life remembering the good times together. It is not easy, but it is the good times that make the mourning process easier. God bless you and support you in the next week, as you lay Jim to rest.

Dear Kathy
Thank you for sharing your man with our community. While we only worked together for a few years, he made those turbulent times at the B.E.S.T Committee doable. His leadership and sense of humor were so instrumental to the organization's success. Hugs

Jim became my neighbor as the newly elected county supervisor many years ago. Early during his first term I called and spoke with him. I explained that I wanted to welcome him to our neighborhood and that to be good neighbors a privacy fence needed to be built between his parking lot and my backyard because of elevation issues (land had been built up to accommodate parking lot and buildings). Jim told me that he would look into my request/concerns. Within a week there was a privacy fence built which still remains standing. Thank you, Jim for your attention to small details and people.

Hugs to each of you. Jim was a very special person to me and my family for a lifetime. He taught me so much during the short time I worked with him at Whispering Pines. Got to know Jim when his daughter Sam & husband Nate moved in next door. Though we only new him and Kathy for a few years, once you spend some time with him (and Kathy) you feel like you had known him (them) all your life. A better man will not be found. A big Crown Royal and Ginger Ale toast to you. GO TIGERS
Thoughts and Prayers always
