James A. Rush

James A Rush, 87, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025. He was born January 27, 1938 in Waynesburg, PA a son of the late Marian C. and Ernest J. Rush. He graduated from Waynesburg Central High School Class of 1955. Jim was the VP at Greenway Mfg in Waynesburg, PA and the Big River Plant in Kittanning, PA for 24 years. He moved to SC in 1987 where he was the Plant Manager of Spartan Undies for five years. In 2001, he went to work at S & S Mfg until 2012. Jim was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesburg for many years. He was also a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church of Spartanburg for more than 25 years. He is survived by his wife of more than 52 years, Mardy J. Rush. He is also survived by his children Beth Troxell (Dan), Lori Bedillion (Sheldon), Doug Pheffer all from Spartanburg, Jim Rush (Yvonne) of Waynesburg, Joni Garrett (Ron) of Wellford and Rebecca Rush of Anderson. Jim was also blessed with 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Ankrom, brothers, Jack Rush and Charles "Buck" Rush and a sister, Barbara Policz. Services will be held on Sunday September 14, 2025 at the J.M Dunbar Funeral Home Visitation is from 1 to 1:45 p.m. with a service to follow. Burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery.
