James Russell Obituary
James Oley Russell, age 62, of Athens, passed away on May 16, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Rev. Oley and Kathryn Russell, and his brother, Mark Russell.
James is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Danielle McNew and her spouse, Nicole; his sister, Lisa Wattenbarger and her husband, Bruce; his brother, Jerry Russell and his wife, Stacy. He also leaves behind several cherished nieces and a nephew, a great-niece, and his dear aunts, Linda Edmondson and Denise Roberts. James also leaves behind special friend, Lisa Jones.
A passionate fan of classic rock, James especially loved the music of AC/DC, which brought him happiness throughout his life.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
