James Sanger Obituary
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the Boline-Manfredi VFW Post 9662, 1309 NE 66th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313.
James was born February 24, 1951, to James and Mary (Chiovaro) Sanger. Following graduation from Ankeny High School in 1969, he joined the United States Navy where he served on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk.
James enjoyed horseback riding, showing rabbits, hunting, fishing, and gardening. Throughout the years he was an active member of VFW Post 9662.
He is survived by his lifelong partner, Darla L. Buchholz; stepson, Jeremaih J.M. Hale; son, James R. Sanger (Jessica); grandsons, James T. Sanger and Justin Sanger; as well as his brother, Randy J. Sanger (Allison).
