November 23, 1942 - September 11, 2025

James M. Schloeman (82) left this world peacefully on September 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with prostate cancer.

Jim was born on November 23, 1942, in St. Louis, MO, the son of George and Mary Alice Schloeman. After graduating from the University of Missouri Columbia with a Bachelor's Degree in accounting, he began his career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at Peat Marwick. He continued his career as Chief Financial Officer at Alvey Inc., an international manufacturing company, which he later owned until 1988. He kept Alvey Europe until 1997.

A loving husband to Judith A. (Daniels) for 65 years. Together, they raised two children: Jim, Jr. and Julie. He was a pillar of strength and support for his family. Jim was a devoted Christian, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and loyal friend to many.

Jim had many passions in life, including duck hunting, golfing, fine dining, antiquing, and watching old movies, which he enjoyed sharing with his children and grandchildren. He was known for his generosity, leadership, and wisdom. Jim loved history and classic cars, and he served as a member of the Board for the National Museum of Transportation.

He is survived by his loving wife, Judith (Daniels), his children, James Schloeman, Jr. (Judy) and Julie James (Michael), and grandchildren Jacob Schloeman, Gabrielle, Bridget, and Carley James, and Christine Sasser (Brian), great grandchildren Jordan and Natalie, and his dog, Bucky. He is also survived by his sisters, Nancy Lawson and Janet Licklider (Donald), his sister-in-law, Shirley Stone (Gene), as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He joins in heaven his parents, George and Mary Alice Schloeman, his granddaughter, Danielle Naes, and his brother-in-law, Bill Lawson.

Visitation will be held on Friday the 19th of September from 4-8 PM at Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd. A memorial service to celebrate Jim's life will be held on Saturday the 20th of September at 11 AM at Central Presbyterian Church, 7700 Davis Drive. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate Jim's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes or Eagle Forum in Jim Schloeman's memory.

Jim's memory will forever live on in our hearts.
