During his full and happy life Jimmy was a successful businessman who nurtured the family business into what it is today. The Scruggs Company was originally a joint venture between brothers that grew to even greater heights under Jimmy's expert guidance after his brother Ted's passing. He was a man known for his caring and generous nature that loved his family, friends, music, and his business. A man with a penchant for working in his yard, fishing and a picturesque water view. He often said he had everything a man could ever ask for.
Funeral services will be held at Crowder Funeral Home on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 2 p.m. The viewing will take place between 1 and 2 p.m. at 111 E Medical Center Blvd. Webster, TX 77598. The burial is to be held at Seabrook Cemetery immediately following the service.

Jimmy was learning to play Classical Gass on the guitar. One day he called me and told me he got it ! He played and I was so impressed! Then, he laughed and confessed that he was playing the record!!!!about forty years later, I called him at work. He was in a meeting so I told his secretary to ask him if he knows how to play Classical gas. He called me back !!!! Karen Winchell
