James Seel Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 29, 2024.
Mr. James F. Seel, age 81, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on May 19, 1942 in Brooksburg, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Howard F. and Emma Frances O'Neal Seel. He was raised in the Brooksburg community and attended school there. On October 27, 1962 Jim was united in marriage to Mary Helen Waldrop in Vevay, Indiana. This happy union of 61 years was blessed with daughters, Lori and Sheri and a son, Steve. Jim was employed for over 40 years as a welder with Rexnord/Chain-Belt/U.S. Filter in Madison, Indiana retiring at the age of 62. He previously had worked in fuel delivery. Jim loved raising his hunting dog and looked forward to rabbit and deer season. He loved to take his wife and go to the VFW Post on the weekends to hang out with friends. He loved to fish and looked forward to going home cleaning them and frying them up on the same day. He also enjoyed keeping a pristine lawn and watching the old westerns on television. He was his happiest being outdoors, enjoying nature especially when it was a beautiful warm and sunny day. In the winter time, he liked to cut and split firewood to make sure he had enough in the stove in the garage so his family and friends could enjoy a warm visit. Jim died on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 6:17 p.m. at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana. Please Click Here to View the Graveside Ceremony
