James P Shields

James P. Shields, age 93, formerly of Strawpump, PA, passed peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Butler. He was born on April 17, 1932, in Greensburg to the late Ann Shields. In addition to his mother, James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Isabelle (Raynor) Shields, who passed away in 2013. James is survived by his four devoted sons, Martin, Stephen, Brian, and Francis Shields. He was a proud grandfather to Kristen, Hilliary, Allisyn, Natalie, Cody, Jordan, Sarah, Annaleigh, and Broady, and a cherished great-grandfather to Maddie and Archer. A proud veteran, James honorably served his country with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and took pride in the many generations he helped guide and support. Friends will be received on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 Noon at Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Avenue, Irwin, PA 15642.
