James Shingleton Obituary
Mr. Shingleton was born December 5, 1942 in Baltimore, MD to the late Laurence and Martha Goff Shingleton.
He faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corp and retired as a GySgt. After his retirement he began a career with the Jacksonville Police Department in Jacksonville, NC and retired as a detective. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Shannon Michelle Shingleton; and a brother, Ronnie Shingleton.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Shingleton of the home; daughter, Christina Marie Kruchesky of Durham; sons, James R. Shingleton, Jr. of Woodland, David L. Shingleton of Wake Forest, Donald L. Shingleton of Jacksonville, and Danny Shingleton of Yanceyville; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Moyers of Va, Murna Wisman of WV; Ruth Ward of WV, and Nancy Koski of MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Im so sorry for your loss. My Uncle Jimmy, I´ll miss you forever. I´ll always remember you grabing my knee as a child and saying " I´m going to get your sugars". Forever in my heart.
