Louisville - James Lee Shockling 67 of Louisville passed away suddenly in his home on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. James was born on December 10, 1956, to the late Albert and Joyce (Dougherty) Shockling. James graduated from Louisville High School in 1975 and retired from OTC. James enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, anything outdoors and his family.

James is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Roger) Friesner of East Canton and Kristina (Aaron) Shockling of Louisville; two grandchildren, Victor Bennage and Victoria (Anthony) Coates; one great grandson, Carson Bennage; brothers, John (LuAnn) Shockling and Darryl (Samantha) Shockling; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. James is also survived by his long-time companion, Anna Southers and her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who all loved James and called him grandpa.

James is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Kevin and Stephen Shockling and a niece, Alysa Glass.

James was loved by many and will be greatly missed forever. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00pm on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Paquelet Falk Funeral Home where services will also be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 11:00am and will be laid to rest at St. Louis Cemetery.
