James Wayne Shoop, Jr., age 52, of Cantonment, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. He was born on March 15, 1973, in Decatur, Illinois, to Diana Jones and James Shoop, Sr.
James was preceded in death by his brother, James Shoop II; grandparents, Pauline (Zanger) Shoop and Vernie Shoop; and several beloved uncles-Vern, Buddy, Charles, Jerry, Tom, and John-as well as his aunt Sue.
He is survived by his daughters, Sara Shoop and Destiney Shoop; brothers, John Ryan Shoop and Cory Shoop; sister, Chellie Shoop; grandmother, Florence Russell; and grandchildren, Zarriah, Zahara, Zayden, Kawhi, and A'journee.
He is also survived by cousins Angel Shoop (Schaffer), Misstia Shoop (Daniel Riggs), Jerry Shoop II (Missy Shoop), and Jessica Shoop; Uncle Jody and his wife Bobette; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, including second and third cousins.
James will be remembered for his strong spirit and the love he held for his family.
