James Edward Sitar, 83, died Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Meadowbrook at Oconto Falls with his wife of 58 years at his side. Son of the late Joseph and Anne (Bodinski) Sitar Sr. was born June 9, 1943.

Jim attended Joliet Catholic Grade School and graduated from Joliet Catholic High School. Shortly after graduating Jim joined the U.S. Marine Corp to serve his country. He left the Marines as Corporal James Edward Sitar. He met and married the former Bonnie Witthuhn. Together Jim and Bonnie owned and operated Jim's Richmond Cycle Center in Appleton.

Jim is survived by his wife Bonnie, and their son Dean (Dana) Sitar. Grandchildren; Tyler Sitar, Tanner (Kristin Holmes) Sitar, Rachael Sitar, and great grandson Jacobi Willis. Sister-in-law Sally Sitar and brother-in-law Leonard Chapla. Jim is further survived by Bonnie's family, Joanne Witthuhn, Steve (Janet) Witthuhn, Barry (Barb) Witthuhn, Christine (Curt) Bjorklund, as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Anne Carey, Joseph Sitar Jr., and Veronica Chapla. Jim was further preceded by Bonnie's parents Raymond and Joyce Witthuhn, and her brothers Daniel Witthuhn, and Thomas (Faye) Witthuhn.

A Requiem High Mass will be offered at St. Michael's Chapel at 10:30AM on Thursday, February 19, 2026, with visitation at 8:30AM with Fr. Andrew Dwyer officiating.

Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family.

To Compassus Hospice, the VA in Green Bay and Iron Mountain, and all the nurses, CNAs, and staff at Meadowbrook at Oconto Falls, "We thank you."
