James J. Smith

Jimmy was a great, close friend of my mother-in-law Zetta Sprole, her daughter Carolina, and our son Hanssen. He was very generous to all of us, and a pleasure to celebrate holidays and family gatherings with. Thank You God for putting Jimmy in our lives!

When the Statler was renovating the Hotel back in the late 80's early 90's Jimmy was my right hand man at the Noyes Center retail outlets. When he went back to the Statler, I wound up working with him again as the Terrace Restaurant manager. He was a great man, never called in sick, insane work ethic, loved Glenfiddich and his suits of armor. He was extremely kind. RIP Blue!

I knew Jim years ago when we were working at the Statler Hotel at Cornell. Jim was a good friend also. He was always so nice to talk too, helped me out with requests pertaining to work. Very kind and hard working man. Condolences to Jim´s family.
