James Michael Smith

James "Jim" Michael Smith, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on March 20, 2024.  He fought a hard and courageous battle with cancer for over a year.  His granddaughters Cheyenne and Jaime, along with his wife Madge cared for him to his last day.  Jim will always be remembered as a smart and resourceful guy with a great sense of humor.  He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything.  In his free time, he like to go fishing, mow his lawn, ride his motorcycle, and spend time with his family.  Jim is preceded in death by his son Jimmy; grandson John Boy, and his grandson Jesse.  Jim is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 55 years Madge; his daughter Carmen; his son Charlie; his brother George; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.  The family will receive friends 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 East Market Street).  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
